KS Kolbenschmidt will be getting a new owner

Rheinmetall and Comitans Capital AG announced the sale and purchase agreement of the entire KS Kolbenschmidt small-bore piston organization, which includes the plants in Marinette, Germany; Mexico; Brazil; Czech Republic; Japan; and two Chinese joint venture factories. The new owner, Comitans Capital AG, intends to run the small-bore pistons unit as an autonomous, independent company under the brand name of Kolbenschmidt Pistons and intends to continue operations at all locations under its current management team. The target date for completion of the transaction, which is pending approval from the relevant authorities, is expected to take place by March 31. The Marinette plant is at 1731 Industrial Parkway N. It has 181 full-time employees.
