Marquette man charged with embezzlement from VFW

A Marquette man has been arraigned on felony embezzlement charges. Brian Thomas Parsons was arraigned in 96^th District Court on Thursday, accused of taking between $1,000 to $20,000 from the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5760 in Gwinn. The  Forsyth Township Police Department says that Parsons was taken into custody at his residence located in the City of Marquette on March 18^th. The arrest comes at the conclusion of a several-month-long investigation conducted by the Forsyth Township Police Department. Officials determined that Parsons had embezzled several thousand dollars from the VFW post over several years.
