Awards were presented during the Wed., April 2, 2025, SkillsUSA Wisconsin State Leadership and Skills Conference closing ceremonies held at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Madison. The 52nd annual event featured more than 1,750 middle, high school, and college/post-secondary students participating in over 75 skilled and technical trades competitions. The following are the local results of the competitions:
Automotive Refinishing Technology – College: Lance Marineau, NWTC, Bronze. Carpentry – High School: Hunter Ingram, Oconto High School, Silver. CNC 3-Axis Milling Specialist – College: Nathaniel Ruechel, NWTC, Silver and Ben Hoerstmann, NWTC, Bronze. Collision Repair Technology – College: Wyatt Leverenz, NWTC, Silver. Crime Scene Investigation (Team) – College: Savannah Guilette, Savannah Long, and Kaylee McFadden – NWTC – Gold and Mason Baker, Teshonne Bekyir-Leuthoudom, and Riley Irvin – NWTC – Silver. Criminal Justice – College – NWTC – Gold: Gabrielle Wilson. Silver: Eric Allen and Bronze: Jeremy Unerfusser. Electrical Construction Wiring – High School Gold: Kaden Hines, Oconto Falls High School. First Aid/CPR – High School – Silver: Madisen Spranger, Crivitz High School. Sheet Metal – High School Gold: Bryce Christensen, Oconto Falls High School. Welding – College – Bronze: Logan Otto, Northeast Wisconsin Technical College.
More than 200 corporations, trade associations, businesses, and labor unions support SkillsUSA Wisconsin. Programs are integrated into career and technical education through a framework of personal, workplace, and technical skills grounded in academics. SkillsUSA also offers technical skill assessments and other workplace credentials.
